Job Summary
Cape Town – Western Cape – South Africa
- Build and update web pages and features using ASP.NET Core MVC or Razor Pages.
- Use C# and Entity Framework Core to connect your code to a MySQL database.
- Assist with writing clean, easy-to-understand code that follows best practices.
- Help test your work to make sure it works as expected.
- Fix bugs or issues in the application under guidance from senior team members.
- Work with Git for version control (basic branching, commits, pull requests).
- Learn how to work in a team and communicate clearly about your progress or challenges.
- 24 years of experience in software development (or a strong set of small/medium projects).
- Working knowledge of C#, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core.
- Some experience writing queries for MySQL.
- Basic understanding of how web applications work (frontend/backend).
- Some familiarity with Git and working in a team environment.
- A willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow your skills.
- Experience writing simple unit tests.
- Exposure to Bootstrap or other CSS frameworks.
- Interest in improving the performance and reliability of applications over time.
- Strong willingness to learn and improve.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
