Job Summary
Our client in the Water and Wastewater Management Services Industry, and based in Newcastle, is currently looking to employ an experienced Production Engineer.
3 5 years working experience in an engineering or production related field secures.
Requirements:
- B.Eng or BTech in Chemical Engineering (Required).
- Have a firm grasp of mechanical engineering principles, as well as electrical and instrumentation exposure.
- 3 5 years working experience in an engineering or production related field would be preferred.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail.
- Water treatment experience with specific experience in RO, UF, Precipitation and Clarification.
- Valid Code B drivers license and own transport.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Take plant operational responsibility for plant operational performance and wellbeing, whilst ensuring safe and efficient operations of the plant(s).
- Providing Process, Operational and Maintenance expertise.
- Monitor and evaluate plant health and performance and take appropriate actions.
- Communicate plant health and performance and take required action, as and when required, to ensure plant functioning at optimum performance.
- Compile and distribute daily plant operational performance reports to internal and external stakeholder.
- Identify and drive optimisation and cost saving initiatives and efforts.
- Track chemical consumption and manage chemical stock levels.
- Monitor cost of treatment and optimise where possible.
- Identifying and implementation of Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
- Lead onsite implementation of process changes.
- Deliver on process related inputs required on projects in accordance with sound established engineering principles and standards to satisfy business requirements, including commissioning of new installations.
- Management of risks relating to protection of plant equipment.
- Compiling Standard Operating Procedures where required.
- Perform training and development of Process Controllers and Supervisors.
- Adhere to Incident Notification protocols and management of Incidents / NCR’s and follow-through on corrective / preventative actions.
- General client management and attendance of meetings.
- Ensure PTOs, SWPs and Task Risk Assessments are in place, communicated and conducted as per schedule / procedural requirements.
- Client communication, interaction and management.
