Overall Responsibility: Delivery Driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules and must work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client in a polite and prompt manner. Comply with and HACCP or IS022000 requirements Main responsibilities: Driver: Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner. Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, packed properly, and the customer is satisfied. Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles. Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients. Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules. Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Operating equipment and machines, such as cars and trucks Checking stock for delivery correspond with documentation Route Planning Daily vehicle damage checks Daily logsheets Collections Maintaining Vehicles and reporting any maintenance needed on vehicles to management Health and Safety Comply with and HACCP or IS022000 requirement Apply basic hygiene and sanitation and adhere to food safety related rules and activities as per factory instructions. Company uniform and safety gear to be worn at all times Reporting Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries and collections Preparing damage reports including photos when any damage occurs on vehicles Reporting any vehicle or stock damage immediately Communicating on driver group and report any errors that may occur during daily deliveries / collections Minimum Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Matric Valid driver’s Code8 or Code 10 license, with a clean driving record with no medical or criminal record that would disqualify the driver from obtaining a PDP. Computer Literacy Overall Skills and competencies: Strong time management and customer service skills. Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods.
