Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, journals, and reconciliations
• Manage and process import and export documentation, including customs forms and declarations
• Ensure compliance with local and international customs laws and procedures
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and relevant government authorities
• Track and record international transactions and associated duties or tariffs
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Support audit preparation and respond to financial inquiries
• Monitor exchange rates and their impact on transactions
• Maintain organized records of all import/export documentation for audit purposes

Requirements:

• Matric certificate (Grade 12) – mandatory
• Qualification in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field (Diploma or Degree preferred)
• Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in import/export finance or logistics
• Proficiency in customs procedures and documentation
• Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
