Location: Pretoria Position Overview: The IR Practitioner is a senior-level industrial relations professional responsible for overseeing all IR Officers and serving as the organisation’s primary representative at the CCMA. This strategic role combines operational oversight with expert-level dispute resolution, ensuring comprehensive industrial relations management while protecting the organisation’s interests in formal proceedings and complex labour matters. Key Responsibilities CCMA Representation and Dispute Resolution Team Leadership and Management Strategic Industrial Relations Management Complex Case Management and Escalation Labor Law Expertise and Advisory Organisational Development and Culture Risk Management and Compliance Training and Development Leadership External Stakeholder Management Workplace Policy Development and Implementation Union Relations and Negotiations Collective Agreement Management Strike and Industrial Action Management Research and Analysis Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelors degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, Labour Law, or a related field (preferred). Minimum 5-7 years proven experience in Industrial Relations. Strong knowledge of collective bargaining, compliance audits, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures. Technical Skills In-depth understanding of South African labour legislation. Skilled in negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and dispute resolution. Proficient in managing case files, IR systems, and documentation protocols.
