We have the following available vacancy: Payroll Manager Location: Roodepoor Industry: Manufacturin Type: Full-time Salary: R700,000 (Negotiable) Role Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll operations across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in both Sage VIP and JD Edwards , ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing. This role demands a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and process ownership, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement. Key Responsibilities Manage and execute monthly payroll cycles using Sage VIP and JD Edwards systems Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (PAYE, UIF, SDL, COIDA) and internal policies Reconcile payroll data with finance and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency Oversee payroll audits, tax submissions, and year-end reporting (IRP5s, EMP501s) Maintain employee records, leave balances, and benefits administration Resolve payroll queries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external auditors to ensure seamless payroll operations Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency Stay up to date with legislative changes and system upgrades affecting payroll ? ? Candidate Requirements Minimum 5 years’ experience in payroll management Proficient in Sage VIP and JD Edwards payroll systems (non-negotiable) Strong understanding of South African payroll legislation and tax frameworks Excellent numerical accuracy, analytical skills, and attention to detail High level of confidentiality and professionalism Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Relevant qualification in Payroll, HR, Finance, or related field (advantageous)
