The Laundry department is offering an exciting opportunity for a Shift Leader Laundry to join the team. We are looking for someone with a minimum qualification of Grade 12 (or equivalent NQF 4 certificate) and with at least 2 years experience in a laundry environment. Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for the stock control of rooms linen by carrying out monthly stock takes; Responsible for counting of linen – going and coming from outside service providers; Ensure that departments are not abusing linen by performing frequent on the job training with Housemen and Room Attendants on the handling of linen; Report and maintain quality of linen; Ensure that all guest laundry and dry cleaning is billed and handed over to the Front Office for charging to guest accounts; Recommend change and improvements to the Laundry operation to ensure the achievement of set objectives. The ideal candidate: Has a passion for the industry with the ability to maintain the Leading Hotel of the Worlds standards; Has to be physically fit in order to lift and carry heavy bags; Has to be accurate in counting stock and pay attention to detail.
