Automotive Machinist urgently required for a Manufacturing company situated in Johannesburg: Permanent position. Troubleshooting, Repairs & Installations.Using machine tools and precision measuring instruments to create and modify Automotive parts.Main duties and responsibilities: Inspecting and diagnosing automotive parts, Conrod resizing.Experience on Grinders, rebuilding parts. Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications. Performing routine maintenance on machine tools and other shop equipment. Testing and verifying the functionality of repaired or built parts. Keeping accurate records of all work performed for warranty and billing purposes. Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining a clean and orderly work area. Keeping up to date with the latest technologies and techniques in the Automotive industry. Must have excellent mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and a keen attention to detail. Reading blueprints is essential. Ensure that all parts are machined to the specifications detailed in blueprints and other instructions. Machining parts and components to specifications. Reassembling engines and components. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Qualifications High school Diploma or equivalent. MERSETA Trade tested. Proven experience as an Automotive Machinist.
