Cape Town City Centre: LRU Assembler

Responsibilities Assemble electronic PCBs into mechanical housings following work instructions and engineering drawings. Perform mechanical integration including fastening, torquing, and alignment of subassemblies. Apply ESD-safe handling practices and comply with cleanroom protocols. Use hand tools, torque tools, and microscopes to ensure accurate assembly. Record assembly steps and traceability information in production logs. Conduct in-process inspections and report defects or anomalies. Collaborate with engineering on build issues and improvement suggestions. Maintain a clean and organised work area. Assist with training of new assemblers as needed. Qualifications Matric Certificate or equivalent. Technical certificate, or a Diploma in Electronics or Mechanical Assembly is preferred Knowledge of: PCB and mechanical assembly practices. ESD handling and cleanroom protocols. Reading mechanical and electrical assembly drawings. Non-Negotiables High attention to detail and manual dexterity. Familiarity with torque specifications and fastener handling.
