Sales Consultant (New Sales)
Salary: Market-related basic salary + Commission/Incentive Structure + Travel Allowance + Cell Phone and Laptop Allowance
Location: Pretoria East (Hybrid – with client travel in Gauteng)
Working hours: Monday – Friday, Full-time, 07:30 – 17:00
Own reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and Wi-Fi at home

Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Consultant to focus on new business development. You will target schools, financial services, legal practices, pharmaceutical, and medical industries—prospecting, presenting IT solutions, negotiating, and closing deals.
Once contracts are signed, ongoing client management will transition to the Operations team, allowing you to focus on growth. This role is perfect for a motivated sales professional with a passion for technology and the ability to translate IT solutions into business value.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Diploma or Degree in Business, IT, or Marketing advantageous.
- 2–4 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in IT, telecoms, or technology services.
- Proven success in new business development and deal closure.
- Exposure to professional industries (education, finance, legal, healthcare) is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Basic technical knowledge of IT solutions (desktop support, networking, cloud, cybersecurity) would be an advantage
- Ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical clients.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
- Driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
- Professional and confident in engaging with executives and decision-makers.
- Ability to learn and understand IT concepts quickly.
- Resilient under pressure and target-driven.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Identify and target new clients across education, financial, legal, and medical sectors.
- Generate and qualify leads via cold calling, referrals, networking, and events
- Conduct presentations and demos of IT solutions tailored to client needs.
- Understand client needs and propose tailored solutions (SLA agreements, once-off projects, managed IT support).
- Negotiate contracts and close sales in line with company policies.
- Maintain sales pipeline and deliver accurate forecasts
- Successfully Transition signed clients to Operations for onboarding and service delivery.
- Provide clear technical handover notes and collaborate with Operations team
- Develop solid knowledge of company IT products and services.
- Be able to answer basic technical questions on solutions (desktop support, networking, cloud services, cybersecurity).
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor offerings.
- Maintain accurate CRM records (Activities, opportunities and leads).
- Provide weekly/monthly sales activity and performance reports.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
