Durban: Shift Supervisor posted by Riseup Management

Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate production line activities during assigned shifts.
• Monitor machine operators and production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations (HACCP, GMP).
• Allocate tasks and responsibilities to team members to meet production targets.
• Identify, report, and resolve production issues or bottlenecks.
• Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and employee attendance.
• Train, mentor and motivate production staff to improve performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with management to implement process improvements.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment and the production area for safety and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years’ proven experience in a supervisory role within a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production processes and machinery operation.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene and quality control procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and overtime when required.
