Johannesburg: BI Data Analyst

Reporting to the Group Financial Manager, youll work with teams across the business to shine a light on performance, spot opportunities and drive strategic decisions that keep operations running at full speed. Key Responsibilities: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and design dashboards that turn operational performance into clear, actionable insights Proactively identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities, recommending both strategic and operational solutions Translate complex business challenges into analytical questions and convert those answers into data-driven actions Collaborate with IT to build data solutions that enhance network efficiency and resilience Work closely with business stakeholders across departments and regions, ensuring alignment and driving analytical best practices Ensure data accuracy, availability and quality by defining business data needs and working hand-in-hand with IT teams Job Experience and Skills Required: BCom Degree in Analytics, Finance or a related discipline 6 years experience as a BI Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role Excellent SQL skills and proficiency in BI / data visualisation tools (Power BI preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a proven track record of turning data insights into business action Exceptional communication skills, able to tell stories with data for both technical and non-technical audiences Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, operational environments Commercially minded – You care about results, not just reports
