Location: Sandton, Johannesburg Key Responsibilities: · Supervise assigned team responsibilities during staff absences due to illness, leave, or training, including full management of workloads such as re-quotes, proposals, and operational tasks. · Assist in the development and management of agent and hosted educational bookings in collaboration with the Sales team. · Support the implementation and testing of systems and procedures. · Follow up on provisional bookings for relevant teams. · Re-engage with previously inactive leads during quieter periods. · Load bookings for consultants during peak seasons. · Provide support on Small Group Journeys. · Assist in sourcing new suppliers and products to enhance offerings and drive creativity within the Groups department. · Occasionally accompany group travel to assist with on-the-ground operations. Knowledge Required: · In-depth understanding of the tourism industry, including travel channels, destination management, and client expectations. · Familiarity with travel terms and conditions, market-specific knowledge, and products across Southern and East Africa. · Basic business acumen to contribute to strategic planning and commercial decision-making. · Awareness of crisis management and emergency response protocols.
