Gauteng: Market Risk Graduate posted by Network Finance

Key Responsibilities:

– Support market risk projects across banking and financial institutions
– Assist in developing, validating, and enhancing market risk models
– Analyse market data, exposures, stress tests and risk metrics
– Contribute to risk reporting, dashboards, and insights for clients
– Work with senior consultants on risk strategy, frameworks, and regulatory projects

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
– Honours or Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Risk, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
– Strong academic results are essential
Experience:
– New graduates or up to 1 year of relevant experience (Market Risk, Quant, Risk Analytics, or related)
– Exposure to market risk concepts is an advantage
Skills:
– Strong programming ability (Python / R / MATLAB)
– SQL experience highly beneficial
– Excellent numerical, quantitative, and analytical skills
– Understanding of derivatives, market risk metrics (VaR, sensitivities), and financial instruments is advantageous
– Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients

– Ability to work in a hybrid consulting environment
