A dynamic manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in production, people management, and operational performance to join their team in Germiston, Gauteng. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the plant, driving efficiency, safety, and profitability while ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time. Responsibilities: Lead and coordinate daily plant operations to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Oversee production planning, raw material control, and delivery of finished goods. Monitor and improve injection moulding processes to reduce scrap, optimize cycle times, and boost OEE. Manage and mentor cross-functional teams, including Production Supervisors, Setters, and Maintenance staff. Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production and operational areas. Monitor performance metrics, prepare reports, and present findings to senior management. Collaborate with procurement, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges. Requirements: National Diploma or Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Production Engineering, or Operations Management. Injection moulding certification/training is advantageous. 710 years experience in manufacturing, with 35 years in senior operations management. Proven leadership experience in a plastic injection moulding or high-volume manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of injection moulding processes, tooling, and maintenance.
