Job Description
- Guide operations, property, and HR leadership through clear financial insights, risks, and opportunities
- Drive accurate, timely reporting across monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, plus follow through on corrective actions
- Lead planning and forecasting processes, ensuring the business balances risks and opportunities
- Manage and develop the operations finance team to deliver strong results and high-quality work
- Support new store feasibility, pharmacy acquisitions, and business case development
- Promote profitability and protect company assets through strong financial governance
Job Experience and Skills Required
- CA(SA) is non-negotiable
- 10+ years’ Finance experience
- Retail industry experience in a large or listed environment is highly advantageous
- Solid background partnering with operations, HR, or property teams
- Experience leading and developing a finance team
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Confident communicator and presenter
- Excellent Excel skills
- Comfortable with ERP and BI systems (SAP / BI is a big plus)
- Naturally organized, adaptable, and able to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership presence
