Mpumalanga: Site Clerk of Works posted by Consultium Architects (Pty) Ltd

Background Consultium Architects requires the services of one competent Site Clerk of Works (SCoW) to work at two construction sites in the Gert Sibande District. The SCoW shall commute between the two sites which have different contract periods but shall not exceed 22 months for both projects together. The same person shall service both projects. It is envisaged that the encumberment would be appointed from January / February 2026.The two projects are located in Mpumalanga and it shall be a requirement that the incumbent is resident / or find accommodation in the Msukaligwa or Mkhondo Municipality, in order to fulfil daily onsite duties. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to)Site Inspections: Conduct frequent visits to both construction sites to monitor progress and verify that work aligns with approved designs and specifications.Quality Assurance: Ensure materials and workmanship meet required standards and industry best practices.Compliance Checks: Confirm adherence to building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.Reporting: Document findings, prepare detailed reports, and communicate issues to Principal Agent / Project manager.Problem Resolution: Identify defects or deviations and recommend corrective actions to maintain project integrity.Liaison Role: Act as a link between contractors and Principal Agent / Project Manager, to ensure smooth communication and issue resolution.Attend all Technical and Site Progress.
