? Lodge-Based Role: Lodge Manager 5 Safari Lodge (Greater Kruger) ? Location: Greater Kruger Area, Limpopo Province ? Salary: Market-related (based on experience) ? Accommodation / Meals: Live-in ? Start Date: URGENT Position Overview A prestigious privately-owned 5 safari lodge in the Greater Kruger area is seeking an experienced, guest-focused Lodge Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure flawless guest experiences. This is a confidential appointment for a property renowned for its exclusivity, personalised service, and refined bush-luxury aesthetic. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, detail-driven leader with strong organisational skills and the ability to maintain high standards across all departments. A passion for hosting, genuine warmth, and a calm, professional approach are essential. Key Responsibilities Guest Experience & Hosting Personally welcome and host guests, ensuring each stay feels seamless and personalised. Maintain consistent communication with guests and the lodge team to anticipate and fulfil needs. Handle special requests, feedback, and service recovery promptly and graciously. Uphold the lodges standards of service excellence and brand integrity. Operational Oversight Manage daily lodge operations across front-of-house, housekeeping, F&B, maintenance, and guiding teams. Conduct regular property walk-throughs to ensure presentation, functionality, and safety. Oversee logistics, scheduling, and coordination of all guest activities. Ensure all SOPs and operational policies are consistently applied. Staff Management & Leadership Lead and motivate the lodge team with professionalism, mentorship, and positivity. Oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and staff development. Foster a culture of teamwork, respect, and service excellence. Maintain compliance with HR and labour legislation requirements. Finance & Administration Assist with budgeting, cost control, procurement, and monthly reporting. Oversee stock management and supplier relations. Monitor daily expenditures and ensure accurate financial processes. Health; Safety & Compliance Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, food hygiene, and environmental policies. Champion sustainable operational practices aligned with conservation goals. Maintain up-to-date licensing, permits, and legal documentation. Requirements & Experience Minimum 5 years experience in a senior management role within a luxury safari or boutique lodge environment. Strong background in guest relations and front-of-house management. Demonstrated operational competence across multiple departments. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Organised; proactive, and able to perform calmly under pressure. Professional presentation and a genuine love for guest-focused hospitality. Valid drivers licence and willingness to live on-site full-time. Preference will be given to candidates with stable, long-term employment history in the luxury lodge sector.
