? Role Overview

We are urgently seeking a qualified Millwright/ Electrician with experience in the concrete or cement industry for a short-term contract based in Roodepoort. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical and electrical maintenance, fault finding, and equipment optimization in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on plant equipment
• Conduct fault finding and repairs on motors, gearboxes, conveyors, mixers, and control panels
• Support production teams with breakdown response and preventative maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and equipment status
• Assist with shutdowns, installations, and commissioning as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Trade Test (Red Seal) Millwright/ Electrician essential
• Minimum 35 years experience in heavy industrial environments
• Preferably experience in concrete, cement products, or related manufacturing sectors
• Knowledge of Overhead Crane Maintenance and Electrical Methods. In-depth understanding of electrical maintenance techniques, including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of electrical components.
• Knowledge of VFDs and PLCs
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills (electrical & mechanical)
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Own reliable transport to and from site
• Must reside in the West Rand area
