This is a remote opportunity ideal for a qualified individual who thrives in a tech-savvy, dynamic environment. The role offers exposure to modern accounting tools and processes, while supporting small and medium-sized businesses with full-service bookkeeping, tax, and compliance support. You’ll be responsible for financial reporting, tax returns, reconciliations, and client engagement—serving clients locally and internationally. The position requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and strong time management. Key Responsibilities Manage client deliverables via the firm’s internal project management tool Prepare and reconcile trial balances, management reports, and financial statements Perform income tax, provisional tax, and VAT calculations and submissions Handle CIPC filings, queries, and compliance documentation Liaise with clients, bookkeepers, and internal team members to ensure accurate, timely reporting Review and manage cloud-based documentation using platforms like Xero, HubDoc, and Dext Research and stay up to date with the latest accounting tools and automation Coordinate payroll processing and compliance when required What You’ll Bring SAIPA, SAIBA, or AGA(SA) membership Proficiency with Xero, HubDoc, Dext, SimplePay, Draftworx, and eFiling Excellent verbal and written communication Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently across multiple time zones and client geographies Comfortable using AI tools and digital platforms Highly organised and self-disciplined Ability to manage multiple client portfolios efficiently Nice to Have Exposure to international accounting standards Prior experience in fully remote accounting teams Familiarity with AI and automation in accounting processes What’s On Offer Fully remote working model Flexible hours within reason Exposure to a wide variety of clients, including global companies Use of industry-leading digital tools and platforms Tech-forward, innovative work culture with learning opportunities Company Culture Our client is a tech-savvy firm that embraces innovation in accounting, using AI and cloud platforms to deliver smarter, faster, and more efficient solutions.
