Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to join our client’s team in the insurance industry. As a Senior Pricing Actuary, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing pricing models and strategies to ensure accurate and competitive insurance premiums. In this position, you will collaborate with underwriters, data scientists, and other stakeholders to analyze market trends, evaluate risks, and provide data-driven pricing recommendations. You will also provide insights and support to the underwriting and sales teams to optimize business performance and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing training of interpretation of data & pricing principles.
• Pricing of larger contracts and complicated reinsurance treaties
• Maintenance and development of ofpricing tools
• Research and development of reinsurance portfolio optimisation
• Develop a detailed understanding of underwriting guidelines.
• Review pricing assumptions and output produced by underwriting team
• Review slip checks and underwriting guideline checks performed by underwriters
• Work with reserving team to determine profitability by business segment on a quarterly basis
• Visit markets to form general underwriting and pricing views of the markets.
• Develop and maintain dashboards for underwriters and client relationship managers for market visits

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Qualified Actuary is preferred otherwise close to qualification
• A minimum of 3 years experience in reinsurance pricing (preferably 5 years)
• Strong knowledge of insurance pricing methodologies and concepts
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modeling
• Professional certifications such as FSA, FCAS, or equivalent
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and mentor junior team members
• Experience with actuarial software and programming languages
