Johannesburg: Mechatronic engineer autonomous driving vehicles

We are seeking a motivated Mechatronic Engineer to support the development of autonomous driving vehicle systems. The role involves the integration of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software components to design, test, and optimise perception, control, and actuation systems for autonomous platforms. Key Responsibilities Design and integrate mechatronic systems for autonomous vehicles Develop and test control algorithms for vehicle dynamics and automation Integrate sensors (LiDAR, radar, cameras, IMUs) and actuators Support system modelling, simulation, and validation Conduct testing, data analysis, and system optimisation Collaborate with software, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams Requirements Degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Experience with control systems, embedded systems, and sensor integration Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ or Python Understanding of vehicle dynamics and autonomous systems Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
