Minimum Qualifications and experience: Proven work experience as a Plant Engineer. Familiarity with industrial control systems and manufacturing processes. Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Plant Engineer (CPE) may be beneficial. Hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry. Design and oversee the installation and maintenance of plant equipment. Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures. Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions. Evaluate and improve plant processes for efficiency and safety. Assessing the operational functionality and efficiency of plant systems and machinery. Designing and implementing plans for the installation and maintenance of plant machinery. Performing routine inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper function and compliance with safety standards. Identifying and addressing equipment malfunctions and system performance issues. Collaborating with the plant management team to devise strategies for improving plant performance and reducing operational costs. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to plant operations. Implementing quality control programs and safety measures to prevent accidents and ensure worker safety. Managing inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies needed for plant operations. Supervising and training plant operations staff. Continuous learning and staying updated with advancements in technology and changes in regulations is a crucial part of a Plant Engineers career. Providing monthly reports. Managing and oversight of the engineering department and workshop of more than 10 employees. Ultimate responsibility of the functioning, safety, and control of all site equipment of more than 40 pieces or machinery, including solar.
