Duties:
- Lead the preparation, consolidation, and presentation of group financial results in full compliance with IFRS, JSE Listings Requirements, and Companies Act.
- Oversee the preparation and release of SENS announcements, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with all disclosure requirements.
- Manage statutory reporting and ensure timely submission of iXBRL filings and related regulatory deliverables.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide insightful financial analysis that informs strategy and performance decisions.
- Oversee the external audit process, maintaining strong relationships with auditors, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Strengthen internal financial controls, governance frameworks, and risk management processes across the group.
- Drive automation, system improvements, and efficiency initiatives within financial reporting functions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing reporting team, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, complemented by a CA(SA) designation (essential).
Experience:
- 5-10 years’ post-articles experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, or group finance within a listed or complex corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS, JSE Listings Requirements, and regulatory reporting, including SENS and iXBRL submissions.
Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth understanding of IFRS, the Companies Act, and JSE Listings Requirements.
- Exceptional analytical acumen with a proactive approach to problem-solving and technical challenges.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, professional integrity, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Highly organised and adaptable, with the capacity to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
