About the Role
Join Complete Healthcare Services as an Enrolled Nurse Assistant and make a difference in the lives of patients with various medical conditions. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working on a one-to-one basis with patients in their homes or facilities, providing essential care and support. Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic care, assisting with personal hygiene (washing, dressing, grooming, feeding, support with moving, toileting)
- Administer medications under supervision of the registered nurse or the family
- Document patients’ condition and progress
- Monitor vitals of patients and record
- Perform basic wound care
- Manage feeds of a tracheostomy baby by means of a feeding pump
- Observe changes in patients’ conditions and record in the daily report
- Write reports in good English
Requirements
- Strong understanding of treatment plans set out by other team members (Doctor, NSM or Physiotherapist) to ensure all tasks are completed appropriately
- Good communication skills with supervisors, colleagues, patients, and family members
- Knowledge of dealing with emergency situations with a patient in their home
- Knowledge of Geriatric Care, Paediatric Care, Dementia Care, Post Stroke Care, Ventilation Care
- Good knowledge of Catheter care (indwelling, supra pubic, intermittent)
- Good knowledge of prevention of pressure sores in a bedridden patient
- Skilled in writing reports
Qualifications
- Level and Accreditation Diploma as a qualified Enrolled Nurse Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
