About the Role
Complete Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate and skilled Enrolled Nurse Assistants to join our multidisciplinary team. As an Enrolled Nurse Assistant, you will work closely with patients in the comfort of their homes or in a facility setting, providing personalized care and support to individuals with various needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic care and assistance with personal hygiene (washing, dressing, grooming, feeding, support with moving, toileting)
- Administer medications under supervision of the registered nurse or family
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and record changes in condition
- Manage feeds for tracheostomy babies using a feeding pump
- Observe and report any changes in patient condition to the team
- Provide support and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Write reports on patients’ condition and progress in good English
Requirements
- Knowledge of dealing with emergency situations with a patient in their home
- Good communication skills with supervisors, colleagues, patients, and family members
- Familiarity with Geriatric Care, Paediatric Care, Dementia Care, Post Stroke Care, Ventilation Care
- Understanding of Catheter care (indwelling, supra pubic, intermittent)
- Knowledge of prevention of pressure sores in a bedridden patient
- Experience working with tracheostomy patients and suctioning of a trachea
Qualifications
- Diploma as an Enrolled Nurse
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
