About the Role
Our client in the Manufacturing Sector is currently looking to employ an experienced Fitter to their team in Port Elizabeth. Minimum 8 years experience in an industrial environment secures, and an awesome career opportunity awaits you!
Key Responsibilities
- Daily planned and preventative maintenance routines.
- Communication with supervisors/production to arrange preventative maintenance time.
- Arranging for parts to be available timeously to carry out preventative maintenance routines.
- Diagnose root cause of equipment failure.
- Plan action to remove cause of failure.
- Report on action taken and record downtime.
- Availability to assist with production requests.
- Communicate with production on planning changes to production runs timeously.
- Periodically inspect products manufactured against quality requirements.
- Inspect statistical process charts to evaluate equipment capability and correct where necessary.
- Plot engineering related statistical process charts and use of barometer of equipment performance.
- Daily Housekeeping.
Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (minimum).
- Qualified Artisan (N5) – Trade Test.
- Trade – Fitter.
- Minimum 8 years experience in an industrial environment.
- Must have a sound knowledge of automated manufacturing equipment.
- A good understanding of quality requirements in a manufacturing environment.
- Must be available to work swing shifts.
- Availability every Sunday is mandatory.
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 (minimum).
- Qualified Artisan (N5) – Trade Test.
- Trade – Fitter.
