Job Description

Requirements: Education: Matric (Grade 12) Experience: 2 5 years experience in a production or manufacturing environment Industry Experience: Crate and pallet manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential Technical Skills: Strong technical and operational understanding of manufacturing processes Responsibilities: Production & Operations Allocate work to 7 production teams as per instructions from the Operations team Ensure maximum productivity and efficient utilisation of labour Monitor and reduce production wastage, including recycling of offcuts Plan and manage effective material usage Communicate production delays, issues, or bottlenecks to Operations and Dispatch Ensure consistent quality standards across all production teams People Management Supervise, motivate, and manage approximately 30 production staff Maintain discipline, performance, and teamwork on the production floor Lead by example with a hands-on management approach Health, Safety & Housekeeping Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised production environment Enforce company policies, including substance abuse and safety standards
