About the Role
International Sportswear Brand with stores in Gauteng and JHB is seeking a highly skilled Product/Retail Trainer to join our team based in Sandton. As an integral part of our retail training department, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging training sessions to new hires and existing employees, covering product knowledge, new releases, and soft skills like customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and facilitating engaging training sessions, workshops, and demonstrations for both new hires and existing employees
- Creating and updating a variety of training materials, such as presentations, user guides, videos, and manuals
- Collaborating with store managers and sales teams to identify specific training needs based on performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends
- Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance improvements
- Maintaining in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of all company sportswear products, including technical features, usage, benefits, and competitive products
- Serving as a liaison between the retail floor and product development or marketing teams to gather and share customer and staff feedback
- Supporting sales initiatives by ensuring staff are equipped with the selling techniques required to promote specific international sports brands or product lines effectively
Requirements
- Solid track record and relevant experience in retail
- Valid Drivers license
