About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quarry Manager to lead our team in Malmesbury, Western Cape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical, production, and planning roles within mining/quarrying, with excellent management, problem-solving, and team leadership skills. A proven track record of success in managing operations, improving efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine and Make Safe qualification
- Open-cast blasting ticket
- Manage quarry operations to ensure optimal production and quality
- Lead a team of technicians, supervisors, and other personnel to achieve business objectives
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical, production, and planning roles within mining/quarrying
- Excellent management, problem-solving, and team leadership skills
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Qualifications
- NQF5 qualification advantageous (optional)
- Matric certification (if applicable)
