Job Description
- Accountable for own, creation of new, and maintenance of existing area customer relationships.
- To maximise market advantage through a strong focus on the reseller/distribution sector, whilst ensuring alignment with end user requirements and overall customer relationship management.
- Accountable for maintenance of personal trade spend within the assigned sales region.
- To work across the internal and external supply chains, engaging with customers to promote and demonstrate the functionality of the system and its values.
- Offer expertise and advice to the market, on the advantages of the Mapei product range.
- Ensuring the effective communication of value propositions in relation to the total company offering, both internally and externally.
- Responsible to train customer base on existing products, new products and value add propositions.
- A strong focus on creating sustainable recurring revenue from the reseller / distribution market.
- Build sustainable relationships to maximise market advantage.
- Create a pipeline to ensure pull through of product at customers.
- Meeting the overall forecast accuracy target as set by Management.
- Ensure follow through and finalization from quotation to order.
- Responsible for achievement of debt management within the defined area of responsibility.
- Articulate Mapei’s offer, product expertise or advice, highlighting the advantages of Mapei product range, over and above other competitor offerings.
- Proactively identify new opportunities for enhanced product offerings, by uncovering and understanding these through the application of trained techniques, supply chain knowledge, commercial awareness and in-depth knowledge of market and customer requirements.
- Analyse and assess customer product mix to show value add to the customer and Mapei, whilst aligning with overall company strategy.
- Adherence to company reporting procedure/commercial admin systems, offering appropriate feedback and information when required or requested.
- Adherence to strict ethical codes of conduct and maintenance of confidentiality at all times.
- Manage product performance issues in line with company guidelines.
- Report on market trends, competitor offerings, new products to the relevant managers monthly.
- Update of CRM including and not limited to: o Visit reports
- Customer information
- Market Intelligence
- Attend internal and external meeting, as and when required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in Sales within the relevant industry with at least 4 years.

- High level of integrity
- Ability to communicate on multiple levels, with multiple forms of personalities.
- Extroverted team player
- Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
