Job Description
Content creation & editing: Write, edit, and proofread website, marketing materials, brochures, itineraries, menus and guest-facing documents.
Ensure all content is grammatically correct, engaging, and aligned with brands tone and style. Collaborate with internal teams to translate complex information into clear, elegant copy.
Design & art direction: Design layouts for brochures, magazines, advertisements and digital campaigns.
Oversee visual consistency across all platforms, including print, web, and social media.
Art direct photo/video shoots and manage image/video selection for marketing and operational materials.
Brand management: Maintain and enforce brand guidelines across all content and design outputs.
Work closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure cohesive messaging and aesthetics.
Project coordination: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met. Liaise with external designers, printers, and vendors when necessary.
Crisis communication: lead the crisis communication management framework to mitigate potential damage to the company and brand.
Ensure a timely, informed, effective, articulate and professional crisis response to agents and guests.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Bachelor’s degree in communications, graphic design, marketing or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5 years in a similar role combining content creation and design.
Proven experience in luxury travel, hospitality, or high-end brand environments is an advantage.
Advanced English language proficiency: Grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax mastery.
Copy editing & proofreading: Fact-checking and consistency. Style guide adherence (e.g., AP, or custom brand guidelines).
Ability to rewrite for clarity and conciseness.
Layout & design expertise: Typography principles (hierarchy, readability, kerning, leading).
Grid systems and page composition.
Colour theory and visual balance. Image placement and resolution optimisation.
Technical Skills: Editing and layout design in Microsoft Word non-negotiable.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Prepress knowledge (bleeds, crop marks, colour profiles).
Strong copy-editing and proofreading skills.
Familiarity with digital content platforms and basic HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
