About the Role
We are seeking a Safety Officer with experience in electrical safety to join our team in Pretoria/Johannesburg. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all safety policies and procedures are adhered to, specifically in relation to electrical equipment and installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Develop and maintain safety protocols and procedures related to electrical work.
- Investigate incidents or accidents related to electrical safety and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct safety training for employees on electrical safety.
- Stay up to date on relevant safety regulations and ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with the procurement of safety equipment and gear for employees working with electricity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Safety Officer with a focus on electrical safety.
- Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certification in electrical safety would be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
