Job Description

Location: La Lucia Ridge, Umhlanga A well-established company based in La Lucia Ridge, Umhlanga is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Controller to take full ownership of the accounts function. This is a hands-on role suited to a detail-oriented finance professional who is confident across debtors, creditors, cashbook, VAT, and general ledger. Key Responsibilities: -Manage the full accounts receivable and accounts payable functions -Monitor debtor balances, follow up on overdue accounts, and prepare age analysis -Reconcile supplier statements and manage payment runs in line with approvals and cash flow -Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank and cashbook reconciliations -Process and reconcile VAT, including monthly VAT reports and control accounts -Post and reconcile general ledger entries, accruals, and adjustments -Support month-end and year-end close processes -Maintain accurate audit trails and support internal and external audits -Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve queries -Identify and support improvements to finance processes and controls -Report directly to senior management Minimum Requirements: -BCom Accounting, BCompt, BAcc, or equivalent finance qualification -Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior accounts / accounts controller role -Strong practical experience across debtors, creditors, VAT, cashbook, and GL -Proven reconciliation expertise and high attention to detail -Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines -Strong communication skills and professional judgement Location & Working Environment: -Office-based role in La Lucia Ridge, Umhlanga
