About the Role
We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead our design office and engineering teams responsible for the complete design of mineral processing plants. As a Centurion: Design Office Engineering Manager, you will be instrumental in driving innovation, quality, efficiency, and innovation while maintaining technical ownership and influence on complex projects. If you have strong design leadership skills, Pr.Eng status, and the ambition to grow, this role offers an excellent platform to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the design office and engineering teams
- Oversee plant layout, structural, mechanical, and process design integration
- Ensure designs meet technical, safety, cost, and constructability requirements
- Drive innovation, standardisation, and continuous improvement
- Manage design deliverables, schedules, and resources
- Collaborate with projects, procurement, construction, and clients
- Mentor and develop engineers and designers
Requirements
- 14 years experience in the mineral processing industry
- Proven involvement in designing complete processing plants
- Strong Tekla Structures experience (essential)
- Prior team or design office management experience
- Experience in fast-track EPC / EPCM environments
- Innovative, practical, and solutions-driven mindset
Qualifications
- BSc or BEng in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering
- ECSA Pr.Eng registration (essential)
