About the Role

Route Management is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our team in Germiston, Johannesburg. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our financial data, preparing yearly budgets, and analyzing financial performance. You will also be involved in accounts payable, cashbook management, and financial reporting tasks. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage all accounting data for accuracy and effectiveness
  • Analyze financial performance and provide quantitative information on our business’s performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity, and cash flows
  • Ensure timely and correct completion of invoices and job packs
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in sales orders and manuals
  • Make corrections to the trial balance as needed to ensure expenditure is authorized and within budget
  • Implement systems, policies, and procedures for continuous knowledge development

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Good communication skills and bilingual
  • Ability to solve problems and queries as needed

Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelors degree in Accounting

Salary & Benefits

  • Competitive salary: R450 000 – R550 000 per annum (depending on experience)
