About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Network Engineer to join our company. The Engineer will be responsible for Design, Install and Maintaining all enterprise Network platforms. The role is responsible for leading all efforts to design, support and maintain existing solutions while designing new capabilities that focuses on enhancing user customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design scalable, efficient and high-performing telecommunication transmission networks
- Create detailed architecture plans, network diagrams, and technical specifications
- Create HLD, LLD and As-Built documents
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including network architecture, workflows and technical guidelines
- Develop budgets and Bill of Materials (BOMs) for proposed network designs and implementations
- Oversee the deployment and integration of transmission systems
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless implementation and adherence to design specifications
- Monitor and analyse network performance to identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or vulnerabilities
- Propose and implement solutions to improve network reliability, latency and throughput
- Research emerging technologies and industry trends to integrate cutting-edge solutions into the network
- Conduct feasibility studies and pilot projects to assess new transmission technologies
- Stage, lab, test, install and bring into service equipment
Requirements
- Cisco Networking Knowledge (Routers, Switches, BGP, SDN, SDA, SD-WAN)
- Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
- Extensive experience in Network Technology VLAN, VPNs, Firewalls, Cyber Security, and IP routing protocols
- Extensive understanding in Wireless network technologies
- Virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Extensive experience in infrastructure maintenance and alerting routines. (Ensure system integrity and minimization of down time)
- Cloud Platforms (M365 Suite, Azure, AWS & Google Cloud) – Working knowledge of AWS and Google cloud preferred but not essential
