About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Barman to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while maintaining the highest standards of mixology and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Take drink orders and prepare a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, and wines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of beverages and supplies.
- Ensure that all drinks are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Provide recommendations to customers based on their preferences and the menu offerings.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Assist in managing and overseeing the bar operations during busy periods.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent customer service and promote a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Barman or Bartender in a similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of mixology and different types of beverages.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- TIPS or other relevant certification is a plus.
