About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Developer to join our team in Pretoria, South Africa. As an Agri Tech specialist, you will be responsible for prospecting new clients, selling our full range of agri-tech solutions, and driving business growth in the agricultural supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and pitch new clients
- Sell full agri-tech suite: Spray, Harvest, Scouting, Asset Management, Pruning
- Identify and close opportunities in returnable packaging for harvest, storage, and equipment
- Maintain strong client relationships & resolve queries
- Gather customer requirements and communicate to internal teams
- Analyse competitors, markets, and pricing trends
- Prepare monthly sales reports & variance analysis
- Support innovation, key accounts, and on-site project teams
Requirements
- Degree in Business/Marketing/IT (or similar)
- 5 years or more of sales experience (min. 3 years in agricultural supply chain)
- Strong understanding of web/mobile apps, RFID/barcode scanning, IoT devices, GPS tracking
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven track record of closing deals & hitting targets
