About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a focus on designing, analysing, and overseeing construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and contribute to innovative engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed designs and layouts for structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations to ensure the safety and stability of structures.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate structural elements into overall project plans.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design specifications.
- Identify and resolve structural design issues promptly.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.
Requirements
- Professional registration with ECSA is required.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, with a focus on building and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or STAAD.Pro.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
