About the Role
Telebest, a leading finance institution, is seeking an experienced Senior Industry Analyst to join their Research and Information Department in Sandton. As a key member of the team, you will conduct in-depth research and strategic analysis of value chains and industries within the Mining and Metals sectors, providing strategic recommendations and reports.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting in-depth analysis of specific value chains/industries/sub-sectors within the Mining and Metals sectors
- Contributing to the formulation of strategies for Mining and Metals related value chain/industry/sector development
- Providing inputs into macro-economic and sectoral forecasting
- Disseminating value chain/industry-/sector-specific research and information, both internally and externally
- Assisting in planning portfolio priorities from a sectoral perspective
- Analysing, on a continuous basis, supply- and demand-side conditions in various industrial commodity markets
Requirements
- Honours degree in economics (or equivalent commercial qualification) followed by a related qualification at the Masters level (e.g. M. Commerce; M. Arts (Economics); MBA)
- 5 to 7 years relevant and solid experience, preferably within an economic research environment
- Substantial experience and expertise in conducting in-depth value chain/industry/sectoral research and analysis
Qualifications
- Honours degree in economics or equivalent commercial qualification
