About the Role
Motus Autoworx, a dynamic leader in the vehicle repair industry, is seeking an honest, trustworthy, and highly responsible candidate with relevant panel beating experience to apply for the position of Bodyshop Assistant: Panel beater at our East London branch. We are looking for someone who can take full accountability to repair accident damaged vehicles to the highest possible standards, thereby assisting the branch with the achievement of its financial and service targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking accident damaged vehicles entering the workshop against the quotation.
- Assisting in the stripping of vehicles and checking the extent of the damage.
- Assist senior panel beaters in repairing damaged vehicle panels.
- Use hand tools and equipment to shape and form metal panels.
- Sand and prepare surfaces for primer.
- Remove dents and straighten vehicle panels.
- Perform welding and soldering tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Booking hand equipments into the storeroom at the end of the day.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in repairing accident damaged vehicles.
- Basic level computer literacy (will suffice).
- Valid, unendorsed Code 8 drivers license (at least 2 years old).
Qualifications
- Grade 12.
