About the Role
An industry-leading company in the business & commercial banking industry is currently seeking the expertise of an experienced Credit Segment Manager (Rental Finance) to join their team in Sandton, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and managing credit and associated risks within an allocated portfolio combined with that of the relevant segment/s.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage the credit and associated risks within an allocated portfolio combined with that of the relevant segment/s.
- Integrate and manage the credit function by ensuring that the quality of credit risks across the regions are aligned with the Banks risk appetite, which includes minimising the risk of loss through bad debts while maximising profits.
- Provide leadership by inspiring, energising and driving a team of Credit Manager/s to deliver on their respective objectives. To ensure that the core deliverables of Credit are achieved and maintained.
Requirements
- At least 7 years Credit Management experience, within the Commercial and Business markets
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Commercial, business and financial principles and practices
Qualifications
- Commercial, business and financial principles and practices
- Governance and risk management principles
- Application of relevant credit and risk legislation in an organisation (NCA, CPA, Companies Act, Insolvency Act, etc.)
- Impact of regulatory bodies (BASA, SARB, SACCRA, NCR, and FIC) on the functioning of an organisation
