About the Role
As a Professional Tax Accountant, you will provide full accounting service offerings to Fouche & Co Recruitment’s clients. We are seeking an ideal candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys multitasking, and has excellent interpersonal and client-relational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full accounting and tax function portfolio.
- Produce monthly management reports
- Full accounting function to trial balance
- Drafting of annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors on CaseWare
- Provide advice on all tax and accounting matters
- Must have experience on e-filing (SARS)
- Must be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Prepare and submit income tax returns for individuals and companies, VAT returns for sole proprietors, and trusts
- Prepare VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies and trusts
- Competent to attend to all SARS correspondence
- Filing of notices of objections and suspension of debt on e-filing
- Conduct themselves in a professional manner
- Must be willing to travel to clients
- Responsible for keeping up to date with Tax laws and Regulations
- Optimize tax strategies and minimize tax liabilities for clients
- Tax planning
- Compliance support
- Advisory services
Requirements
- Accounting degree or Higher Diploma
- Completed articles (Advantageous)
- Affiliations to SAIPA, ACC, CIMA (Advantageous)
- Pastel experience and knowledge
- Fluent knowledge of CaseWare and Pastel is imperative
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in an accounting environment
- Own Vehicle and a Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
- Completed articles (advantageous if specified otherwise)
Salary & Benefits
R25 000 – R30 000 monthly
