About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Administrator to join our client’s expanding solar company in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a passion for sustainability and the solar industry. This role requires extensive knowledge of financial management principles, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial systems, standards, and procedures.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts regularly.
- Monitor and control financial transactions, analyzing variances and making recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accuracy and timely payments/receipts.
- Review and reconcile bank statements, credit cards, and other financial statements.
- Manage the general ledger and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a Financial Administrator or similar role in the solar or renewable energy industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial management principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
