About the Role
Hire Resolve is excited to announce an incredible career opportunity for a Senior Accountant (CA(SA)) with a prominent property development company. Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain key financial controls and processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Oversee the month-end close process, including balance sheet and income statement reconciliations.
- Manage and guide the finance team to ensure timely completion of tasks and adherence to deadlines.
- Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and support the audit process.
- Review management accounts and prepare monthly financial and operational reports.
- Oversee and assist in budget preparation and forecasting, ensuring alignment with financial standards.
- Prepare, review, and approve journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle inquiries related to Tax, VAT, and other financial matters with SARS.
- Collaborate with other divisions to achieve overall business objectives.
- Prepare payments, maintain the cashbook, and manage the fixed asset register.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Senior Accounting or equivalent role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
- Experience dealing with SARS and familiarity with Tax and VAT regulations.
- Experience in property development or a similar sector is preferred.
