About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our client’s manufacturing team as a Junior Administrative and Wages Clerk. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our manufacturing department and assist with processing payroll for our employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute payroll for hourly employees.
  • Prepare and submit payroll deductions and remittances to appropriate governing bodies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and timesheets.
  • Assist with monitoring and tracking employee attendance and hours worked.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.

Requirements

  • Matric
  • 3 years of experience in a Wages clerk role within manufacturing or similar
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
