About the Role
Jelocorp, a global intelligent technology corporation, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to support its growing local operations in Johannesburg. With over 80,000 employees, 28 research institutes, and sales organizations in more than 80 countries and regions, we are expanding our presence in South Africa. We require a skilled professional with strong knowledge of South African tax law, compliance, customer account reconciliation, and retail/consumer electronics industry practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations and cash flow management.
- Manage the full financial function, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Handle customer and supplier account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns in line with South African tax law.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct financial analysis and present insights to support business decisions.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, SARS, and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, South African regulations, and TCL Group standards.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to evaluate the financial impact of promotions, rebates, and incentive schemes in the home appliance/consumer electronics sector.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years financial management experience, with at least 3 years in South Africa.
- Proven experience in customer account reconciliation and managing debtor/creditor relationships.
- Strong knowledge of South African tax laws and compliance (VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax).
- Familiarity with home appliance/consumer electronics industry promotion rules and rebate practices.
Qualifications
- CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification preferred; alternatively, BCom Finance/Accounting with extensive practical experience.
- Strong financial reporting, audit, and compliance background.
- Proficiency in SAP, ERP systems, and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and manage a small finance team.
- Valid drivers license and own vehicle.
