About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Receptionist/Switchboard Operator to join our luxury estate team in Stellenbosch. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring the smooth operation of our switchboard. Key Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls in a timely and professional manner
- Manage guest inquiries and bookings in accordance with company policies
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and well-maintained at all times
- Provide administrative support to the estate team as required
- Maintain accurate records of guest information, bookings, and correspondence
Requirements
- Grade 12; a hospitality qualification will be an advantage
- 1–2 years’ experience in a reception or switchboard role, ideally in a hospitality setting
- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Well-organized with strong attention to detail
- Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate or higher
- Hospitality qualification (e.g. Certificate in Hospitality Management) an advantage
