About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team at Top Vitae. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting financial statements, developing budgets and forecasting future costs and revenues, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This is a 12-month contract position.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Assist in developing annual budgets and monthly forecasting future costs and revenues.
- Ensure all financial practices and reporting comply with accounting principles like IFRS and relevant tax regulations.
- Conduct internal audits, manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile accounts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, monitor performance, and provide recommendations for improvement to management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Oversee tax payments and ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns.
- Advise on implementing and improving financial procedures
- Manage cash flow to ensure the organization can meet its obligations and internal controls.
Requirements
- BCom Accounting
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
